Hi, I’m Alex, your Prim, Welcome to my Ted Talk

Welcome to the House of Legends!
 I would like to start off by congratulating you on your acceptance to study at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Stellenbosch University. This is an achievement of note and you should be very proud of yourself & your journey thus far. I look forward to welcoming you to the house of legends and the best residence on Tygerberg Campus. It is with utmost confidence that I assure you that you will meet your future colleagues and life-long friends.
 Meerhoff will become your home away from home & I’m so excited to be one of the first people who get to help you settle in with your new Meerhoff family. Meerhoff is known for its inclusivity and diversity, and you will get to meet people from all ethnicities and backgrounds. I hope you are ready for the best 4-6 years of your life, because this is just the beginning of a very prosperous future for you.

 I am so excited for you to experience the welcoming week that we have planned for you. We know it is a crazy transition from high school to university (when you see us don’t think anything other than “they’ve been where I am, I’ll be good”), & we plan to do our very best to help with that transition and package it in the most amount of fun you can ever have. This time is different for all of us, from living alone to making new friends, everyone has their own internal challenge. My challenge to you is to trust us, trust the process and give the comfort zone a tiny break & Meerhoff will become the home away from home way sooner than you think. I am so excited to meet you & start your journey alongside you. Take the opportunities as they come, find your place & just go with the flow. It is going to be a great ride.
